Traffic restrictions are reported from 6:00 AM until the procession ends.
What is the Dharmadhwaj Miravnuk?
Miravnuk (मिरवणूक) is the Marathi word for a ceremonial procession, and Nagar Pradakshina means a circuit of the city. The Dharma Dhwaj, the saffron flag of the Simhastha, is carried through Nashik on the day before the flag is hoisted. The procession is a public, devotional build-up to the Dhwajarohan ceremony on 31 October; it is not the same event. Our Dhwajarohan guide covers the ceremony itself.
Start: Modi Maidan, Tapovan

The procession is reported to begin at Modi Maidan in Tapovan, an area of north Nashik traditionally associated with the Ramayana. Vehicle restrictions along the route are reported from 6:00 AM on 30 October and remain until the procession has concluded.

Part 1 — Tapovan to Panchavati

From Modi Maidan the procession moves through Tapovan towards Panchavati. This stretch passes the Tapovan crossing and the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple, then continues through Katya Maruti Chowk and Devi Chowk to Ganeshwadi, where it enters the older, busier part of the city.
Part 2 — Through Old Nashik

The route then runs through Phul Bazaar, crosses the Godavari on Gadge Maharaj Bridge, and passes Delhi Gate, Nehru Chowk and Dhumal Point before joining Main Road. This is the most crowded part of the corridor, with narrow lanes and dense market activity, and the section where nearby roads close first.
Part 3 — The final stretch to Ramkund

From Main Road the procession reaches Raviwar Karanja, crosses Ahilyabai Holkar Bridge and passes Malegaon Stand before arriving at Ramkund on the Godavari.
Destination: Ramkund

The procession is reported to conclude at Ramkund. This is the end of the 30 October procession, not the time of the 31 October flag-hoisting. The Dhwajarohan ceremony is a separate event, reported for 12:02 PM the next day.
Roads reported closed on 30 October

The full list of closures, diversions and no-parking stretches is in our Nashik traffic restrictions guide.
